One of the most stressful things about having house guests is making sure that they have a comfortable place to sleep. You undoubtedly don't want to give up your bed and it doesn't make sense to kick your kids out of their rooms, so what choice are you left with? Here are five ideas for creating a cozy, comfortable place for your overnight guests to sleep:

1.Futon

Futons aren't just for college kids any more. Not only can a futon give your guests a place to sleep, but you can use the futon as a sofa or loveseat once your guests have gone. If you choose to purchase a futon for your guests' comfort, be sure to buy a mattress that has a loft of at least eight inches. Anything thinner than this will guarantee that your guests wake up with stiff necks and sore backs. You can add a foam mattress topper to the top of your futon mattress for added cushion.

2.Sleeper Sofa

Sleeper sofa mattresses have come a long way since they were first introduced. With the right mattress, your guests won't have that all-too-familiar feeling of a bar running across the small of their backs. If you know that you'll be utilizing your sofa bed as an extra sleeping space, be sure to get the best mattress that you can afford. If you get a great mattress, you may just find yourself sleeping on the sofa bed more than you sleep in your own bedroom.

3.Rolled Mat

While rolled mats may not be comfortable for heavier adults, they are great for any kids that will be spending the night in your house. With more cushion than sleeping bags, these mats are just as easy to roll up and store but provide ample comfort for your little guests. Store a few rolled mats in your coat closet and pull them out when the kids' have a sleepover. Simply roll the mat out onto the floor of your child's bedroom or the living room and you have an instant bed.

4.Murphy Bed

Do you know what a Murphy bed is? If you don't, you aren't alone. These beds went out of style years ago but are making a comeback. Murphy beds fold up and into your wall, blending almost seamlessly with the rest of the room when not in use. The key to the comfort of Murphy beds lies in the quality of the mattress, much like a sofa bed. Be sure to get the best mattress that your money can buy to ensure that your guests have a good night's sleep.

5.Camper

It may seem a bit unconventional but if you have a camper, there's nothing wrong with parking it in the driveway or backyard and letting your guests use it for the weekend. Not only will the camper provide your guests with a cozy place to sleep, but it will give them a modicum of privacy that they may not enjoy inside of your house.
There's no need to stress out about overnight guests. If you follow at least one of the suggestions above, you'll always have an extra place for people to sleep. Whether you buy a futon or park the camper in the yard, making sure that your guests are tucked in for the night will never be a problem again.
